Here Jim Crocker, CEO of Boardroom Metrics outlines the four most common reasons companies decide to hire consultants. They all have to do with Pain! Here they are:
- Have a problem but don’t have the people power or specialization to find the solution.
- Require an outside point of view.
- Need the consultant to be the bearer of bad news. This one sounds ridiculous but in a public company setting – this can be fairly common practice.
- Have a problem and know the answer, but need outside specialization – like a consultant can offer – to create a plan and execute it.
